​Registration

Order registration is a type of entry permit for purchased foreign goods that is registered in the system of the Ministry of Commerce. Based on this, receiving the proforma invoice from the seller and registering the order is one of the first stages of importing goods.

Certificate of origing

It is an international document issued by the Chamber of Commerce of each country for export goods. This document confirms the location (country) of the desired product. The buyer at the destination needs this certificate for customs clearance. Therefore, this certificate is sent to the buyer along with other documents.

To import goods and raw materials from other countries in Iran, all merchants must first register the goods order and then go to the customs office and receive the goods imported to the customs office after going through the necessary procedures.​​​​​​​

To be able to import goods from other countries into Iran, all natural and legal persons are required to register goods orders. The order registration license is issued by the Development and Trade Organization and after receiving the order registration license, importers can proceed to import their desired goods into the country. It should be noted that the order registration license is an 8-digit code.​​​​​​​

The import and export license is a license that is required to carry out import and export. The system for obtaining this permit is the customs website, and the way to obtain it is by visiting the customs in person and registering in the customs system, after paying the necessary fees.

The Law on the Import and Export of Goods, established in 1372, categorizes exported and imported goods into three groups. Authorized goods require no license, but must comply with regulations. Conditional goods need a license for import or export. Prohibited goods, based on Islamic law or legal regulations, cannot be imported or exported. Additionally, Article 3 of the law mandates obtaining a commercial card for importing and exporting commercial goods, which are defined as goods that can be sold in their original form or after production, separation, and packaging.

 The certificate of origin is a special document for the identification of goods in which the competent authority or body that is authorized to issue the certificate of origin explicitly certifies that the goods to which the certificate relates have been created in a certain country. This certificate may also contain a statement from the manufacturer, producer, supplier, exporter, or other competent person.

The certificate of origin in Iran is issued by the Chamber of Commerce, Industries, and Mines of Iran and has the following specifications:
